PURPOSE

Gepard-5.1 ocean patrol ship is designed for fighting against the enemy air-borne, surface and underwater targets, performance of convoying operations, patrolling, assault fire support, mining, guarding and patrolling the state maritime border and economic zone, support of marine operations, flag demonstration within the area of state interest, environmental protection, assisting vessels in distress.

SPECIFIC FEATURES

• high ship survivability is ensured due to support system back-up;
• sea-going capabilities allow for performance of task in any ocean area, without sea heaving limitations;
• comfortable conditions are provided for staying the crew and additional discipline engineers on board the ship;
• the deck accommodates the helipad and shed for one helicopter;
• it has high fire performance.
